EcoTrex operates out of the logistical hotspot Venlo. Roads, railways and waterways all converge here. Venlo has, for example, inland waterways and railway terminals and is centrally located for important harbours such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Duisberg. Venlo fulfils an important role in connecting these major ports to the European continent. Fresh Park Venlo, the Glass and Energy Campus and Floriade 2012 provide the region with strong economic impulses, which further strengthens Venlo's prominent position in Europe's logistics sector.
